Who is using MapLibre Compose?

We should someday publish a list of known projects using MapLibre Compose. Let's collect a running list here.

Right now, we're aware of these released projects:

• OpenBeta for Android and iOS by @Vichy97
• Find Family for Android by @vayun-mathur
• DiscoverTrail for Android and iOS by @michalgwo
• Solinftec Solix for Android and iOS by @dayanruben
• BeenGo for Android and iOS by @buya12

And these released but still working on migrating to MapLibre Compose:

• StreetComplete by @westnordost, migrating from MapLibre Native (issue) moving towards future iOS support
• PublicArtExplorer by @zell-mbc, migrating from OSMDroid (branch)
• SRF Meteo by @andreas-umbricht, migration is on hold pending imperative programmatic styling support

And these in development, unreleased:

• I've got a (not yet open source) app displaying bikeshare feeds, and another with transit and intercity rail feeds

When we publish a list (in README and/or docs), we should list only projects which have been released, not those still in development.

I don't own this project but have been the main developer. It's not open source yet (but will be soon). iOS has not been released yet, but Android has been out for a bit now. Also see https://openbeta.io/ and https://collective.openbeta.io/why for more information on the project as a whole

I am a developer working on this app. We are currently using the old-school Maplibre version. Currently the migration is on hold for us, since some necessary features (especially altering the base-style or adding sources to a base-style layer) are not yet possible.

@andreas-umbricht as far as I know, adding sources or otherwise altering the base style is not planned as a feature. But what you can do to achieve this is to pass the whole base style as a json string (rather than an URL that leads to a .json), so you have it in your hands how you construct this string, e.g. if you add more stuff to your "base" json string. Feel free to drop a line in the chat or discussions board for going into details.

We are currently utilizing Maplibre Compose in the production environment for the companion application of our Solix robots, where it has been performing successfully to date. Furthermore, we have also achieved successful results with its implementation in our internal applications and are actively working on integrating the library into additional applications across our ecosystem.

I'm using MapLibre Compose in a production KMP app available on both Android and iOS.

The app displays an interactive world map where users can mark countries they’ve visited. It's built entirely with Compose Multiplatform, and MapLibre Compose is used to render the map on both platforms.

Both versions are live:

• Android: Google Play
• iOS: App Store
