Make Github wiki indexable by search engines

GitHub wikis are excluded from indexing by search engines unless some specific conditions are met:

Search engines will only index wikis with 500 or more stars that you configure to prevent public editing. For more information, see Changing access permissions for wikis.

Since osv has enough stars, changing the wiki permissions should be enough to enable indexing by search engines. This would make the info in there much more discoverable.

I have changed the settings - https://github.com/cloudius-systems/osv/settings. Please let me know if it has fixed this issue. Is there a way to verify the wikis are indexed and searchable now?

Searching for 'osv debugging' on ddg, I now get a result from https://github-wiki-see.page which was not there at all yesterday. Usually, this site serves a copy of the wiki contents with a link to the GitHub wiki at the top of the page, but here it directly forwards the request to GitHub. So, I guess at least someone is picking up on the change.

Still cannot find it on Google though, and no idea how long it would take to show up

I mind that service. It's designed to automatically decommission itself if the target becomes indexable. 😉

As for time, I have no idea. Google should try to re-index the service and then see a permanent redirect but from experience, they are quite unpredictable.
