Keybinding trouble using exec-and-forget and the home directory

I've been trying various incantations of:

alt-ctrl-t = 'exec-and-forget open -a /Users/me/Applications/Brave\ Browser\ Apps.localized/My.app'
alt-ctrl-t = '''exec-and-forget open -a ~/Applications/Brave\ Browser\ Apps.localized/My.app'''
alt-ctrl-t = 'exec-and-forget open -a "~/Applications/Brave Browser Apps.localized/My.app"'
alt-ctrl-t = 'exec-and-forget open -a "${HOME}/Applications/Brave Browser Apps.localized/My.app"'
... probably others ...

Nothing is working. I'd prefer to use shell expansion or a variable because not all of my usernames are the same, but I feel like this is more a syntax issue on my end and I just haven't found the right combination of single quotes, double quotes, and/or backslashes to make this work to launch My.app.

Can someone point me in the right direction, please? Or even just tell me that it can't work and why? That would suffice too.

Well...never mind. This seems to have magically started working.
