In SWSH, unusable moves are still able to appear in movesets when a Pokémon transferred from past games has those moves. Move resetting on entry to a new game, as a concept, did not exist until the release of BDSP, where that is the standard for future games replacing moves with those that a Pokémon would know at its current level. Moves that are unusable in-game but can still exist in a given moveset are tagged with a For what it's worth, though, Soft-Boiled is usable in every game. Are you mixing it up with another move? |

I’m just confused because this is the information that I’m finding online, given this information could be false but I haven’t seen anything to contradict this info. In FireRed/LeafGreen/Emerald (Gen 3), Clefairy could learn Soft-Boiled from a Move Tutor. |

Soft-Boiled was not flagged as not usable in SWSH, though. The issue is that you are mistakenly assuming that the move is not usable in the game, even though it is. |

Ok it must be the information online is false then. |

Also worth noting that SWSH has never deleted moves upon import from past gens, only from other Switch games. It keeps moves even if they don't work. I have no idea what "everything online" you are reading as a reference but it seems to be very inaccurate. |

I could be wrong but everything I’ve looked up says that the move Soft-Boiled is not available in SWSH.
I came across this issue when someone created a Clefable from Gen 3 with soft boiled in SWSH. The move is not in the game according to everything online but the move still shows up and is usable in game PKHex also does not detect as illegal. I guess there is a bug in the game itself that allows it and that’s why y’all have it as legal idk. Just wanted to point it out just in case.
